2015 – A Year In Review

We hope that 2016 has been off to a good start for everyone!

With the New Year embracing us, we wanted to take a look at the previous year and see where we were and where we are now. It’s good to look back and recognize the efforts made, accomplishments achieved, and new goals set for year 2016.

So, we are happy and proud to say that 2015 was a big year for us at Schaefer Wholesale Florist – from a technology, brand building, and Customer Service perspective.

Year 2015 began ambitiously as we launched a new responsive site – giving our users ability to order right from their phones and tablets. Having a mobile friendly site brings so much convenience to our customers, as we realize how many people in today’s busy world conduct their business and other affairs on their mobile devices!

Other unique features that our new, more sophisticated site contains include: better quality images to preview our vast array of products, better organization and ability to search and find the desired products quicker than before, improved FAQ’s section to cover most common questions, improved ease and quickness of the option to purchase, allowing for a more efficient shopping experience for our customers, etc.

Also, since at SWF we see our clients as partners, and we know there is much more to providing wholesale bulk flowers to florists than just sending flowers, we wanted to assist and engage current, new and potential consumers by providing various tips and information about the floral industry trends and news using social media platforms.

So, in 2015 we started to share various up to date information on different types of domestic and imported, seasonal and trendy flowers.

Utilizing our social media, florists can get educational tips on how to care for certain flowers and how to increase sales in certain seasons with certain flowers. With the aim of adding value to our florist customers in every way possible, we consistently post daily, except on Sundays, and the content for our social media posts ranges from informational, fun and entertaining, to conversational.

Another increasingly significant tool we started utilizing in order to go an extra mile for our clients is - blogging.

At SWF we create and share relevant blogs on a monthly basis to offer valuable information and educate our consumers. We also share our blogs on social media, giving our audience more opportunity to read it.

As we are dedicated to continuously improving SWF Customer Service, in 2015 we also hired another sales representative, Gail Homwack.

Last year saw an increase in our sales, too! Just our Dutch sales to our Dutch vendor went up by 85%.

We are aiming to expand our customer base, as we continue to provide only highest quality products and service to our existing and future clients.

What’s more, we are looking to expand into the Youngstown and Cleveland areas!
