Trendy Wholesale Fresh Flowers For 2015 Wedding Season

A future bride needs some absolute essentials to walk down the aisle, and one of them is the ubiquitous - wedding bouquet. Flowers can also tremendously enhance the look of table settings and transform an ordinary, even lackluster space into a majestic one.

They are one of the most important aspects of a wedding. Flowers bring timeless elegance, splendor, and allure to a wedding celebration, small or grand. With their colors and scents, they bring life to a wedding.

Even though future bride and grooms select flowers based on their own sense of style and personal taste, there are certainly trends that guide their selections.

Flower trends are continuously changing. So, what’s trending for 2015?

Here’s an expert insight from Katie Jayne Sprenkle, Founder/Event & Design director at Jayne Weddings, who picked three trends for this year’s wedding seasons:

1. Lush Botanicals

Green just got greener? Greens continue to be big in 2015, but they are getting lusher! Verdant garlands are making their way down the aisles, onto the reception tables as opulent table runners, even as backdrops for ceremonies. Brides and grooms also love the freshness of wild, organic looking centerpieces filled with botanicals. The beautiful greenery adds a marvelous touch of unique yet classic, polished look.

This year let your free spirit be inspired by the woodlands ~ dream big and dream green!

2. Desert Flowers

So, succulents arrived with their rugged beauty at the wedding scene a few years ago, and it seems they are here to stay, at least in 2015.

They are amazing; available all year round, can be offered as wedding favors to the guests, or planted after the wedding (that can actually be a lovely project for the wedding couple - create their first garden).

Now, many brides are tossing the fluffy petals for something more distinctive and edgy. Welcome, unique King Protea, charming Pin Cushion, sultry Amaranth, playful and flashy Poppy Flower and romantic Ranunculus! Beautifully colored flowers and plants, with soft and rugged textures.

Whether for a bouquet, corsage, centerpieces or wedding favors - succulents and desert flowers offer natural beauty and make a unique statement, emitting vibrant desert vibe, evoking sun soaked images.

3. Colors

With Pantone's announcement that Marsala is the color of the year, we are hopeful it pollinates the weddings. This color is rich and lurid, yet sophisticated and elegant, providing a strong but sensual accent to many other colors. What a marvelous and intrepid floral boost these tones of dusty red, cerise, purple and emerald could provide to a wedding!

“Marsala is a subtly seductive shade, one that draws us in to its embracing warmth”,

Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director, Pantone Color Institute®

Fashion forward brides are also leaning away from the blush, pastel and ivory palates of yester years and opting for dramatic bursts of purple and pink to create a more eye-catching look. Think juicy Dahlias mixed with pops of hot pink and berries!
